The Steel Top Track is the head track in our acoustic wall system. It mounts along the top of the wall, runs the full width in one continuous line, and carries the field fabric that covers the wall beneath it. Where the edge and interior tracks define the shapes inside a wall, the top track has exactly one job: hold the fabric line straight and true across the entire span. On a 70-foot auditorium sidewall, that line is the first thing the eye follows — and the first thing it notices when it isn't straight. Why steel Straight stays straight. Steel resists bowing between fasteners and doesn't relax under sustained fabric tension. Across a long sidewall, a fraction of an inch of sag reads from every seat in the room. Built for the life of the building. No creep, no fatigue at the fastener line, no drift over years of load. Specify it once. Fasteners bite and hold. Steel gives screws something to grip — meaningful at the head condition, where the entire fabric field hangs off the fixing line. One line, not a lineup. Full-width runs mean fewer joints to align, fewer places for the horizontal to break.
